Salima Sparrows FC have maintained their flawless start to the 2026 Central Region Football Association (CRFA) Go Jet Investments League Two campaign, emerging as the only team with four wins from four matches.
The Salima-based side sit at the summit with 12 points, three points ahead of Mchinji outfit Simbi FC, who have collected nine points from their opening three matches.
Simbi also boast a perfect record and have a game in hand over the league leaders.
Dwangwa United occupy third position with eight points from four matches and remain unbeaten, having registered two victories and two draws.
Salima Sparrows strengthened their position at the top last weekend after claiming a convincing 2-0 away win against Creck Sporting Club in Lilongwe.
Simbi FC also continued their strong campaign with a narrow 2-1 home victory over Mtunthama Young Squad in Mchinji.
Dwangwa United, however, were forced to settle for a point after playing out a 1-1 draw against Likuni FC at Likuni Ground.
The weekend proved difficult for several teams at the lower end of the standings.
Kasakula Sundowns suffered a 2-1 defeat against Ergo FC, while Apostle Hulidah FC lost 1-0 to Make Sure Pirates. Dyeratu FC were also beaten 3-2 by Civil Service United Reserves.
There was better news for Mphangala FC and Balang’ombe Real Bombers, who both registered their first victories of the season.
Mphangala secured a 1-0 away win over Young Talent FC, while Balang’ombe Real Bombers defeated Lobi Young Soccer 2-1 at Balang’ombe Ground.
Civil Service United Reserves are fourth on seven points, while Creck Sporting Reserves, Mtunthama Young Squad, Ergo FC and Make Sure Pirates occupy fifth to eighth positions respectively, all on six points from three matches.
Likuni FC are ninth with four points from three games.
Lobi Young Soccer, Balang’ombe Real Bombers and Mphangala FC have three points apiece, occupying 10th, 11th and 12th positions respectively.
Young Talent FC and Kasakula Sundowns are 13th and 14th with one point each from three matches.
At the foot of the table are Apostle Hulidah FC and Dyeratu FC, who are yet to open their accounts after three matches.
With the competition now moving into Week 5, attention will turn to whether Salima Sparrows and Simbi FC can maintain their winning streaks, while the teams at the bottom look to fight their way up the standings.
