Blantyre, October 4, 2025 (ManaNews) – Traditional dance troupes brought vibrant energy to Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre as they performed in honor of President-elect Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika and Vice President-elect Justice Dr. Jane Ansah during their historic swearing-in ceremony.
Among the standout performances was Ingoma by Maseko Ngoni from Ntcheu, who mesmerized the crowd with their energetic display, followed closely by Soopa from Phalombe, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Malawi. Their confident and rhythmic performances captivated thousands of attendees, highlighting the nation’s diverse traditional dance culture.
Supporters of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), dressed in the party’s signature colors, filled the stadium with excitement and anticipation as they witnessed Mutharika officially take office as the 7th President of the Republic of Malawi.
The event underscored the fusion of Malawi’s political milestones with its vibrant cultural traditions, making the swearing-in ceremony a memorable celebration for both leaders and citizens alike.
