Bakili Muluzi TV online television station, has appealed to members and supporters of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) to deregister the party for another party wearing a new name not this Malawi Congress Party.
Bakili Muluzi TV said history is the best teacher that in 1994 Malawians fought tooth and nail to make sure that the MCP is deregistered for carrying out different atrocities to innocent people in the name of Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda.
He said AFORD President Chakufwa Thom Chihana stood up that multiparty politics and democracy gives chance to all parties to exist on the ground for Malawians to choose the best to rule them dismissing callss of deregistering MCP as bad.
On 18th May, 1983 Dick Matenje, Aaron Gadama, Twaibu Sangala, and David Chiwanga were tragically murdered and their bodies were dumped at Thambani- Mwanza faking their death as a road accident on the claims that they were running away from Kamuzu Banda for planning to overthrow his government.
On 10th June, 2024 Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilima and eight others, were tragically killed in a plane crash in the Chikangawa forest, millions of questions were raised but to this day, there are no answers and even the Government of the MCP had no answers too.
President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera instituted a commission of inquiry to investigate circumstances surrounding Dr. Chilima’s death but on the surprising note, he appointed his friends to cover him from playing a hand in Chilima’s death.
It was not surprising that the commission of inquiry instituted did not come up with the answers Malawians were long waiting for demanding the new government of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to institute a credible and transparent investigations on the same.
Bakili Muluzi TV has warned the MCP to be careful that failure to deregister the MCP, Malawians that have sailed through pain and sufferings with the MCP will go by themselves to the Registrar of Political Parties to deregister the party from its existence in Malawi.
He has assured MCP members and supporters to thank God that they tested government though the backs of the UTM and Dr. Saulosi Chilima saying Malawians this time will work in unison to see to it that the MCP is escorted to the grave and no more resurrection.
He said children from 5 -17 years have learnt a lot of lessons, they heard that MCP was evil and they have seen evil in the MCP with their naked eyes observing that these children will not speak anything good of MCP.
“It will take 210 years for Malawians to forget MCP stories and build trust in voting for the party back into government,” said Bakili Muluzi TV.
