Freedom fighter and activist Hon. Kamlepo Kalua, says in a country where democracy has roots, people are free to criticize the Judiciary for selective application of justice observing that the two arms of Government Executive and Legislature can be criticized not the Judiciary.
Kalua said in Malawi, it is a taboo to criticize the judiciary, the Judiciary is being seen as God, the creator and Holy spirit, people have mocked God and the Holy spirit, saying it is very unfortunate that people in the country take the Judiciary as God and Holy spirit.
He has warned Malawians that if they continue to take the Judiciary as God and Holy spirit, the country will perish observing that when people who have killed other people are left free ordering the police to stop re-arresting suspects answering to criminal charges, something is wrong.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalua said the Judiciary in Malawi is above everything, it cannot be criticized saying he was arrested in Blantyre driven all the way to Namitete and Lumbadzi in Lilongwe, the Judiciary never interpreted his situation.
Kalua said the Judiciary never took him to court or issued an apology to him for a fake arrest saying today, the Judiciary is doing contrary things which are being seen as selective application of justice in a country where democracy has the roots.
He said there are other cases when the Judiciary can understand that the public will be put under threat if the suspects are granted bail, the Judiciary has to protect those people but not in Malawi, the Judiciary is the creator, God, and the Holy spirit.
“When the Judiciary is liberated in Malawi, people will have a true and genuine democracy, the Judiciary was quiet during my arrests in Blantyre at 04;00 Hours, the police broke my property in Blantyre and they are keeping my mobile phone till this day,” said Kalua.
He said in Malawi there are other people who have someone they are against but that someone has not wronged them warning Malawians that if this is a political culture the country has, then, people must forget that God will bless the country.
Kalua said he has noted with a grave concern that President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has been issued with death threats, the threats were being taken as normal but when the threats are going to those planning evil against Professor Mutharika, they report him to the United Nations for freedoms violations.
He has questioned all those that are against Professor Mutharika that what is it he has committed to them as treasonous warranting to writing the United Nations that he is intimidating them, assuring peace-loving Malawians that Make Malawi Great Again will protect him and he will succeed.
Kalua has finally made a decree and declaration that President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will win this battle that God will open the gates for him to deliver saying even those people that are against him will be made to believe that Professor Mutharika has transformed the country contrary to their expectations.
