Almost 70% Of BNS, Civo And Silver Stadia Facilities Revamped

The Ministry Of Youth and Sports says it will consider the finalisation of projects that were left unfinished during the Region 5 Youth Games.

Uchizi Mkandawire, Minister of Youth and Sports made the remarks when he inspected the facilities at Bingu National Stadium, Silver and Civo Stadiums on Wednesday to appreciate the progress of the work.

Despite Silver and Civo stadia being listed to host the past Region 5 Games none hosted even a single game due to the poor condition of the facilities hence failure to meet the requirements to host such an international tournament.

During the inspection, Mkandawire assured the public mostly the sports followers that some
facilities will be completed to make sure that they meet the standards to host international games.
