Babatunde Left Nyasa Big Bullets To Venda Football Academy

Forward Babatunde Adepoju has left Nyasa Big Bullets after completing his transfer to Venda Football Academy.

The 27-year-old has signed a three and a half year contract with the South African National First Division side to end his one-and-a-half-year spell at Bullets.

The Nigerian, who joined Bullets in the middle of the 2021 season, made 46 appearances for Maule, scoring 34 goals and providing ten assists.

During his stay at Bullets, Babatunde won one Charity Shield, two TNM Super League titles, one Airtel Top 8 Cup and the FDH Bank Cup.

After netting eight goals, he won the 2021 Airtel Top 8 Golden Boot Award and was named Player of the Tournament.

“In the 2022 campaign that ended in December, the forward scored 18 TNM Super League goals to win the Golden Boot Award and inspired the Malawi champions to a fourth straight league title,” says a statement the team has issued.

Babatunde’s third Golden Boot Award with The People’s Team came after scoring five goals in the 2022 FDH Bank Cup and he is contesting for the Player of the Tournament Award.
