Bushiri Supports Cyclone Freddy Survivors With Cash To Rebuild Their Homes

As he continues reaching out to the adopted eight camps in Traditional Authority Juma in Mulanje, Prophet Bushiri has today, besides continuing with distributing relief packages through his hired helicopter, started releasing disaster victims in camps through supporting them with cash to help them rebuild their homes.

The cash disbursements, which Bushiri himself is actively involved in, ranges from K200 000 to K2 million according to the extent of damage and needs that the victims presented.

The Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) founder, Bushiri, has told Zodiak Online that about 200 families have been reached in four camps.

“With schools resuming and also with the burden of keeping people in camps, the only best way to help thesw survivors is to build their capacity, so that they quickly rebuild their homes and move out of these areas.” Said Bushiri.

One of the receipients of K2 million, Magret Nthalika, 72, whose house and properties were all washed away, thanked the prophet for helping her with food and money which will help her build a strong, modern house.

Bushiri has disclosed that about K350 million of the budgeted K500 million has been sent both in provision of relief packages and funds disbursements.
