His Excellence Ngwazi Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera
If history serves me well, the Ngonis in the north bestows the tittle NGWAZI to very outstanding personalities in leadership positions. It’s not a tittle that is given to people just because they were created in the image of God. One earns it. Chakwera has done just that.
Among Malawian presidents, Chakwera is the third to convince the Ngonis to entrust him with such a tittle. Others who earned it before were Ngwazi Dr Hastings Kamuzu Banda and Ngwazi Dr Bingu Wa Mutharika.
What has happened today is a sign that the people of Mzimba have trust in Chakwera leadership. They couldn’t hide their happiness.
