FDH Bank Donates K3 Million Towards Procurement Of CCTV Cameras

FDH Bank plc has donated K3 million to Blantyre Police Station towards procurement and installation of closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras in the city.

Speaking during a cheque presentation ceremony, the bank’s managing director Noel Mkulichi said, they decided to make the donation to help the police service in tightening up security in the city.

“The people that move out there are our customers, therefore if their businesses are affected, we also get affected that’s why we decided to make this donation for the purchase and installation of the CCTV cameras,” he said.

Blantyre Police Station officer- in-charge Obrey Nyirenda thanked FDH Bank plc for the donation.

“As Blantyre Police Station we are so thankful for the donation towards a project we have embarked on of procuring CCTV cameras to make Blantyre a crime-free zone.

He also said the cameras are crucial in crime management since they are digital and that they have potential to work for 24 hours non-stop, compared to people.
