Five Pakistani Nationals Arrested for illegal entry

Police at Muloza in Mulanje District have arrested five Pakistani nationals for illegal entry into Malawi.

Mulanje Police public relations officer Innocent Moses identified the suspects as Muhammed Carsheg and Assan Ali, both 20, Ahamad Radze, Dandi Sharif and Abdul Martin all 19.

He said on the afternoon of December 30, 2022, police officers from Muloza Police Post erected an adhoc roadblock along Limbe-Mulanje Road within Muloza area.

While manning the roadblock, a minibus arrived coming from the direction of Blantyre going towards Muloza.

“When the we searched the vehicle, we found the said nationals but when asked to produce documents, they failed to do so, prompting the us to arrest them all,” said Moses.

Asked further, the five foreigners revealed that they were coming from Blantyre going to Mozambique.

Meanwhile, the suspects are in police custody and will appear before court when investigations are completed.
