Joint Committee Fails To Meet Ecobank Officials Reserve Bank Governor

By Suleman Chitera Nov3,2022

The Joint Parliamentary Committee on Issues of Procurement and Mismanagement of Public Resources has failed to meet officials from Ecobank and the Reserve Bank Governor for reasons that the Agriculture Committee Chairperson Sameer Suleman could not disclose.

This follows a closed-door meeting that the committee members held this morning.

According to Suleman, they had a review of yesterday’s meeting and there were issues that members could not agree on.

Suleman said the issues have since been resolved and the committee will continue meeting other stakeholders this afternoon.

The committee is holding a series of meetings that are meant to inquire into transactions around this year’s Affordable Inputs Programme.
