
The Lilongwe Magistrates Court has found former Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) Chief Executive Officer, Collins Magalasi and her business associate Dorothy Shonga a.k.a ‘Cash Madam’ with a case to answer in a procurement case at MERA.
The suspects are alleged to have influenced the MERA Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee to approve the procurement of items from Vink Enterprises in 2019 and 2020 a firm alleged to be owned by the Shonga and Magalasi.
