Matours Bus Involved In Another Accident

One person has died and several others have sustained various degrees of injuries following an accident involving a Matours Bus that hit a stationary truck between Chilumba and Uliwa in Karonga.

Karonga Police Public Relations Officer, George Mulewa, told MBC that the cause of the accident is over speeding.

Police said the bus driver lost control and eventually hit the stationary truck.

This is the second accident in a week involving a Matours Bus following another accident that occurred in Nkhamenya, Kasungu District where 10 people died.

Police have reiterated the need for drivers to be careful on the roads of Malawi saying reckless driving is causing the deaths of innocent people.
