MP Propose The Country To Have Strong Netball Teams

Member of Parliament for Nkhotakota Central Constituency, Peter Mazizi, is proposing that the country, should have strong netball teams in all districts, for easy identification of talented players, that can be promoted to the national level.

Speaking at Jalo Primary School in Nkhotakota, after presenting a Zonal Level Trophy, to Favored Sisters Netball Team, which has joined other teams, in the final round of a two million Kwacha netball league he is sponsoring, the legislator, expressed concern that potential national team players, fail to progress, due to gaps in talent identification.

He further expressed commitment to assist efforts by Nkhotakota District Council, in promotion of other sport disciplines, including football.

The council, is currently constructing Chigumula Community Ground at the district headquarters, using resources under the District Development Fund – DDF, with hope that the facility, shall assist improving sport activities.
