Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima is today cheering people affected by Cyclone Freddy in Blantyre and Zomba.
Dr Chilima started the tour by visiting St John’s Primary School which is an evacuation camp accomodating over 200 people.
Speaking to people at the camp, Dr Chilima appealed for more selfless to bail out the survivors from the predicament.
“I urge those with various skills, expertise, and technical assistance to continue reaching out to the nearest camp In the spirit of Tigwirane Manja being championed by His Excellency Dr. Lazarus Chakwera,” said Dr Chilima.
The Vice President has since visited Matope Camp in Ndirande which is accommodating 700 people.
