Police in Lumbadzi, Lilongwe have arrested a 25 year-old Thoko Bwanali and 11 others for stealing about 8 Jerricans of cooking oil worthy K500,000.
The 12 are employees at Sunseed Oil Limited.
According to Felix Kwinyani, Lumbadzi Police Station Public Relations Officer the matter was reported to Lumbadzi Police Station and they later apprehended the 12 suspects who confessed that they have been stealing the company’s commodities.
“Currently, 3 out of 8 and half Jerricans of cooking oil have been recovered from a business man in Lumbadzi Titani Chapata who is also in the cooler for the offence of receiving stolen properties. Chapata and the 12 Sunseed Oil Limited employees will appear in court soon to answer charges of receiving stolen properties and theft by servant respectively, “said Kwinyani
