Former President Bakili Muluzi has described as an honor a decision by President Lazarus Chakwera to delegate him to represent Malawi at the burial of Rupiah Banda, former President of Zambia this Friday. Banda died last Friday at his home in Lusaka.Speaking to MIJ Online, Muluzi, has confirmed being delegated by President Chakwera.Muluzi said he has accepted the role because he knew the late Banda for many years including when he was former minister of foreign affairs during the late Former President Kenneth Kaunda’s reign and when he was an ambassador in New York.
