President Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, accompanied by the First Lady, Madame Monica Chakwera joined Sunday worship service at Raised for a Purpose Ministries (RFP), KCA Dawn Auditorium near Robbins Park, Kwacha round about in Blantyre today.
Addressing the congregation, Chakwera called upon all believers including young people to put God in everything they engage themselves in.
“Many people are taking their own life. Others are blaming others for their bad choices,
“We should know that there is someone bigger than everyone. Thus god, Our God reigns,,” the president added.
In his short address, Chakwera acknowledged people that always pray for the country and the leaders for prosperity and good life.
“I am very thankful of all people here and elsewhere that always pray for us. Prayers are instrumental for a productive nation. Malawians need to know that God exist and is within us”, he said.
During the worship service, Founder and President of RFP Ministries, Pastor Audrey Mwasinga, said that Christianity should be agent of positive change, adding that Christians should always strive to succeed wherever they reside.
“Always believe you can succeed wherever, whether in Malawi or elsewhere. Moving out of Malawi does not grantee successful. It is important to recognize you can prosper. Plant the seed of hope and change your mind,” the RFP Senior Pastor said.
Mwasinga explained that RFP Ministry exists to contribute to national development with a belief that government cannot work on its own without the church.
“Much of our preaching aim to encourage the congregants to meaningfully participate and contribute to the country in a Godly manner;” he said, adding that faith based groups must work hand in hand with the government for the prosperity of Malawi.
Mwasinga based his preaching on; Fundamental Principles of Our Faith and encouraged the congregants to be aware of various weapons and tribulations that come to shake ones faith during their Christian journey.
During offerings, the president gave K2 million in the process.
The president arrived in Blantyre on Friday to do a number of official engagements among them launch of Affordable Input Programme for 2024/2025 growing season in Neno District near Zalewa on Monday.
Chakwera also participated in Presidential Charity Golf tournament at Limbe Country Club Saturday.
