Masiya Nyasulu, the Secretary General of the Northern Region Football Association (NRFA), has announced his intention to run for the position of chairperson at the elective annual conference on February 15.
With over a decade of experience serving the NRFA, Nyasulu is confident that he has the expertise and knowledge to take the region’s football to new heights.
“I feel obliged to have what it takes to take the region’s football to another level,” Nyasulu stated, highlighting his commitment to the association and its members.
The nomination process is set to begin on February 4 and will run until February 14, 2025. During this period, four affiliate members from each district football formation in the region will cast their votes.
Nyasulu is likely to face competition from the association’s current acting chairperson, Chauka Mwasinga, who took over the role after the election of former chairperson Lameck Khonje as the Football Association of Malawi’s 2nd vice president.
