A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, says he has learnt with a great shock and dismay hearing from Pastor Moses Shumba’s audio clip that the DPP has closed its doors from meeting activists and journalists who fought courageously sacrificing their lives to die for Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to be President of the Republic of Malawi today.
Kamphangala said after listening to the previous clips by Bishop Kachenje and Comrade Lytone Mangochi that some DPP ministers have switched off their mobile phones from activists and journalists who fought for the party to be in government today, Pastor Shumba has hit the last nail on to a coffin.
He said it is heartbreaking to learn that these activists and journalists have not met President Professor Mutharika 8 month after he was elected to power to appreciate the role they took in fighting for change of the country’s leadership from Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to Professor Mutharika.
The MCP diehard has questioned the DPP gurus that how are they feeling in their hearts that those who fought for them are outside government and have been turned as beggars while done a good job for them to be in government?
He has asked each of the DPP ministers to have a one minute silence to think outside the box the pain and sufferings these activists are going through in their every day life situations.
Kamphangala said at one time he heard Bakili Muluzi TV and Limpopo FM Comrade Ntanyiwa complaining that some DPP ministers have made way for their girl friends who were insulting and castigating Professor Mutharika of his old age to the state houses leaving out people who gallantly fought for Mutharika in times of sorrow and happiness.
He has reminded President Professor Mutharika that without activists Bon Kalindo, Lytone Mangochi, Dr. Samuel Lwara, Hon. Kamlepo Kalua, Comrade Jumbe, Bishop Kachenje, Pastor Moses Shumba, Bakili Muluzi TV, Comrade Ntanyiwa, Burnett Munthali, Suleman Chitera, Jones Gadama, and others, sacrificing their lives, the DPP could not have won the 16th September, 2025 elections.
The MCP diehard said these activists and journalists tried their best to change the mindset of Malawians from Boma ndilomweli silikuchoka mpakana 2084 to Boma ndilomweli the only change is leadership and it happened, Professor Mutharika got landslide victory votes.
He said according to Pastor Moses Shumba’s audio clip, activists and journalists have no problem with President Professor Mutharika but ministers surrounding him who are blocking Mutharika from meeting them to hear of their concerns and grievances.
” I am urging these activists and journalists to work together in a unity of purpose to identify one or two people surrounding Mutharika blocking them from meeting Mutharika and put them to shame,” said Kamphangala.
He has also requested these activists and journalists to establish who and who have found their way to the state house and their sponsors saying this is the only way to deal with the people blocking them from meeting Mutharika.
Kamphangala has advised Bakili Muluzi TV and Comrade Ntanyiwa to speak and speak until their voices reach Professor Mutharika that even those who made his triumphant entry into Lilongwe Alfred Gangata’s strong men are crying for being used and dumped.
He has assured the DPP that he will not stop speaking in support of these genuine activists and journalists until justice is made to children who fought courageously for Mutharika to be in government.
Kamphangala has finally appealed to Alfred Gangata, Norman Chisale, Dr. George Chaponda, Mary Thom Navicha, and others, in the DPP to save the DPP from collapse warning the DPP and President Professor Mutharika that if these activists and journalists are left to be crying as they are crying today, the fall of the DPP will start from them, they will be the first ones to rebel against their party and 2030 elections will be bumpy to the DPP.
