NBS Bank has unveiled a K60 million sponsorship towards Region Five Youth Games slated for December 2022.
Chief Executive Officer for NBS Bank, Kwanere Ngwenya, unveiled the sponsorship in Lilongwe.
Ngwenya said the sponsorship will not be in cash but towards different needs for the preparations of the games.
Meanwhile, Minister of Sports Richard Chimwendo Banda, hailed the gesture by NBS and called for more support from the private sector.
Government has set aside K13 billion for the preparations and hosting of the games which are expected to attract over 2, 000 athletes from about 14 African Union member states.
