Chakwera Calls For More Partnership With USA Institutions

By Suleman Chitera Sep17,2022

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera says the partnership Malawi has with Lipscomb University is key to unlocking many opportunities for cooperation between Malawi and the United States of America.

Dr Chakwera said this when he visited the University in Nashville Tennessee in the United States of America where among others it has partnered with Blessings Hospital of Lumbadzi in Lilongwe in providing health care services to the people of Malawi.

During the visit, the Malawi leader met a group of students from the school of nursing at the University who intend to explore more on how best they can foster partnerships with Malawi in promoting health care services.

The President further engaged students from the college of engineering at the same campus who visited Malawi on a mission a couple of months ago to install solar electricity at Blessings Hospital as a way of easing power challenges and improving health care service delivery.

Speaking during the dinner hosted by the university, Dr Chakwera took the opportunity to foster partnerships between Malawi and the United States of America by highlighting opportunities available in Malawi that are open for cooperation with different institutions.
