Makhazi Came Again And Wooed Mponela

By Suleman Chitera Sep18,2022

South African Singer Makhadzi came to Malawi again, stormed and wooed fun lovers at Hillside Lodge in Mponela, Dowa with her impressive and energetic 4-hour performance Saturday night.

Just right before she could take to the stage and start doing what she does best, the impressive patronage gave a standing ovation, singing along one of her hit tracks “Ma Gear”.

Her dancing skills were a marvel and certainly left the fans satisfied partying ways with their entry fees.

And the Black Missionaries and Lulu spiced the show too. They did “Watsetseleka” and “Ndidzalera” respectively among other famous songs.

Anthony Makondetsa and Driemo were other supporting artists who delivered stellar performances.

One of the fans, Gracious Mweale was contented; saying his money had been used for its intended purpose and urged other hotels and lodges to follow suit.

Manager for Hillside Lodge, Lawrence Nyirongo said the concert had opened their eyes to host other events like boxing and even call for more international artists to perform.

“We started the preparations process way back in May this year! Ups and downs were there during our show, but I’m very happy to have witnessed our desire being achieved,” Nyirongo said.

This is the second time the lodge has hosted a musical performance and its maiden concert to have an international artist.
