Parlimentarian Calls For Positive Talk Of Malawi

Member of Parliament for Rumphi West Yona Mkandawire has urged fellow legislators to always promote positive stories about Malawi.

Mkandawire was speaking in Parliament when he contributed to the Mid-Year Budget Review.

Mkandawire said it is high time Members of Parliament offer tangible solutions rather than always leaning towards criticism.

“Let’s paint a good picture of our country. North, East, South, West home is best. This is our home,” said Mkandawire.

Mkandawire also asked for the early distribution of fertiliser under the Affordable Inputs Programme to which the Chairperson of the AIP Task force, Richard Chimwendo Banda, assured the House that fertilizer will be distributed in all the constituencies regardless of political inclinations.

Parliament is meeting for the 7th meeting in the 49th session where among others members of Parliament are contributing to the Mid-Year Budget Review.
