The Malawi National Council of Sports has set March 5 as the day Mzuzu Half Marathon is going to take place.
The half marathon which is expected to attract athletes from different parts of the country will start from Mzuzu Stadium going through Chimaliro Road, Matete, Zolozolo, Chiputula, connect to M1 Karonga Road, Mzuzu Highway, and back to the stadium in two rounds.

Speaking when she officially unveiled the half marathon, Malawi National Council of Sports Board Member, Helen Mpinganjira Kasosa, said the winner will go home with K1 million, second-placed winners will cart home K700,000 and the third-placed will get K500,000 this applies to both men and women
