Suleman Chitera Malawi Congress Party-MCP has dismissed and disowned a document in circulation purportedly from its National Executive Governance Sub-Committee suggesting to President Lazarus Chakwera names he should consider for ministerial posts in his new cabinet this month.
The party’s spokesperson, Maurice Munthali says they do not have such a Committee in their governance structure and cannot in anyway hijack the president’s constitutional powers to appoint ministers.
Attached is the document which the MCP describes as fake and not originating from it.
