Malawi Congress Party-MCP has dismissed and disowned a document in circulation purportedly from its National Executive Governance Sub-Committee suggesting to President Lazarus Chakwera names he should consider for ministerial posts in his new cabinet this month.
The party’s spokesperson, Maurice Munthali says they do not have such a Committee in their governance structure and cannot in anyway hijack the president’s constitutional powers to appoint ministers.
