Nyasa Big Bullets creative midfielder, Chimwemwe ‘Mr Demio’ Idana has finally left the club with immediate effect after failing to agree on contract extension terms.
The People’s Team has confirmed the development in a statement. His current deal ends on 21 February 2023.
Idana was the team’s third captain. He joined the club through the team’s reserve side in 2017. He was later promoted to the senior team in the 2018/19 season.
“During his six-year stay at Bullets, Idana won two Charity Shields, four TNM Super League titles, the Airtel Top 8 Cup and the FDH Bank Cup. He was Player of the Season in the 2020/21 campaign,” reads part of the Bullets statement.
Reports indicate Idana was demanding K8 million signing on fee.
