Weather experts in the country have strongly dispelled reports indicating that cyclone Herman which has formed off the coast of western Australia will affect Malawi.
Reports are rife on the social media saying the cyclone has taken the same trajectory cyclone Freddy, which caused devastation in the country, took.
However, Yobu Kachiwanda, Spokesperson for the Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services has said the cyclone will have no impact over Malawi.
Kachiwanda, has since pleaded those spreading the fake news to stop and has advised Malawians to rely on his department on weather related issues.
