Political activist Bon Kalindo says the arrest of DPP Vice President for the Centre Alfred Gangata should make all DPP members happy that Gangata was not arrested for a fake certificate but popularity he has everywhere he Is addressing rallies in the region.
Kalindo has described Gangata’s arrest as double celebrations in the sense that the MCP has come to know that their time to stay in government is over, and raising Gangata’s political profile that he is now big as before.
He said the MCP is now practicing politics of instilling fear amongst Malawians saying all its plans to rig the September, 2025 elections, Malawians are aware that the MCP is panicking as it has nothing to offer to Malawians and lies are enough to the Malawi citizens.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo said Gangata has never worked in government and has his companies dismissing the case of fake certificate claiming that in the MCP there are people who do not possess any qualification but are working at the State House for being loyal to the MCP.
Kalindo said in the MCP, there are people with fake Degrees, certificates and Diploma holders claiming that some have failed Junior Certificate of Educations (JC) 8 times, but at no time the MCP exposed them but their focus is with opposition parties.
He has expressed his concern that instead of addressing hunger which is biting Malawians hard and skyrocketing prices of essential commodities, the MCP is running away from its responsibility but concentrating on arresting people with an aim of silencing them.
The Activist has reported to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and the MCP that in Ntchisi in the area of Traditional Authority Kasakula, hunger has reached at its climax making many people sleeping with empty stomachs pleading with government to come to their rescue.
He has advised those who are surrounding President Chakwera to tell him to stop arresting people and instead find ways and means of rescuing people of Kasakula in Ntchisi who many of these are members of the MCP.
“Many people in Ntchisi are at the verge of dying of hunger, government must come in to support them to sing “Boma ndilomweli silikuchoka,” said Kalindo.
On civil servants 20 percent salary hike effective from April, 2025 Kalindo has accused Civil Servants Union leaders for being bent their heads towards receiving huge sums of money for personal gains while their colleagues are in pain and suffering.
Kalindo has described civil servants’ union leaders as corrupt and sleepy and they don’t deserve to be leaders urging civil servants across the country to fire them for supporting “Boma ndilomweli silikuchoka saying 20 percent is an insult against 44 percent Kwacha devaluation.
He has also blamed Members of Parliament (MPs) for being quiet awarding themselves 100 percent hike to their salaries saying he would have loved the next government coming in September change laws for MPs to receive allowances not salaries.
He has argued that people are retiring from Civil Service and joining politics and as a result, they cannot think of others, they think of what is best is for them, their families, friends and relatives as politics is the only job of making one quick riches and becoming a billionaire over a night.
