Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)Vice President for the Centre Alfred Gangata, has assured the MCP led government that he is not afraid, he is ready to be killed for the MCP to fulfill its plans they made with God to kill him.
Gangata said Malawians were not satisfied with Chikangawa report, those who hacked opposition members in Mchesi and those who hacked DPP members and civil servants at Area 18 in Lilongwe on Wednesday, claiming that in all of these incidences, police have made no arrests.
He has questioned government on why they are arresting him, is it because in his rallies people are coming in their large numbers patronizing so that his arrest should silence him from drumming up support to the DPP ahead of the 16th September, 2025 elections?
Speaking outside the court in Lilongwe after he was granted bail, Gangata has described his arrest as coming from a failed government that it wants to divert peoples’ attention through arrests of innocent people living out critical issues without solutions.
Gangata said he was being mocked while in the police cell that prices of goods have gone down after his arrest questioning Malawians, what is it that its prices have gone down saying arresting opposition party members is not a solution to the country’s economic crisis.
He asked DPP supporters that went to the court to give him support to take home the message from God by reading the Holy Bible Exodus Chapter 13 verse 14 where God said to Moses that he should not be afraid, the Egyptians they are seeing won’t be there tomorrow.
“I ask you all to read this verse, Gods words bears nothing but the truth, Malawians will see them on the /+16th September, 2025 elections,” said Gangata.
A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has advised those in the MCP ordering the police to arrest who and who in the opposition parties that they are shaming President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera thereby making Malawians reducing respect they are giving him.
Kamphangala said it is sounding good to the MCP to see opposition members arrested while them clapping hands claiming that government is a re-ray race, the ones that are behind today will be in the front tomorrow and they will revenge against MCP members.
He said with President Chakwera, an ordained Priest, the MCP was supposed to be a reformed party claiming that during Ngwazi Dr. HastingsKamuzu Banda’s era, there was detention without trial and this is continuing in the new and reformed MCP.
The MCP diehard has assured MCP senior members to fasten their belts that once losing the 16th September, 2025 elections, whoever from the opposition parties will be elected President of the Republic will be forced by the citizens to affect arrests of them without mercy.
He has also advised MCP youth posing to be thugs armed themselves with panga knives, masking their faces not to be identified, and terrorizing innocent opposition party members that Malawians are watching them and they will treat them as refugees in their own country from the 17th September, 2025. .
