“The bird that knows the trap has been set does not fly towards the grain:
By Comrade Jumbe
Fellow Malawians, for months now, I have raised my voice through articles and public messages—warning you, urging you, and calling you to vigilance.
I have reminded you that we cannot proceed with the September elections without confronting the dangerous signs of electoral rigging and manipulation.
Now, today, the truth stands tall and undeniable before us all.
The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC), under this current administration, has chosen secrecy over transparency.
In previous elections, political parties and independent observers were granted access to audit the system. Citizens were allowed to witness, question, and verify. But today, this MEC—captured and compromised—refuses to open its system for scrutiny.
Ask yourself: what are they hiding?
“The thief who refuses to be searched is already guilty.”
It is no longer a matter of suspicion. It is now a matter of national emergency.
We are being led into a rigged election. We are being told to vote blindfolded.
We are being asked to place our trust in an electoral process that has clearly been hijacked to serve the interests of one man and one party—Chakwera and the MCP.
To all opposition parties, to all true sons and daughters of Malawi—this is the hour that will define us.
We must take bold and lawful action:
Seek a court injunction to stop the September elections until full transparency is guaranteed.
Mobilize the masses for peaceful demonstrations across the country.
Boycott any sham process that insults the will of the people.
We are not calling for chaos. We are calling for justice. We are calling for truth. We are calling for the right of every Malawian to choose their leaders in a free, fair, and credible election.
“He who is silent when his house is burning should not blame the ashes.”
Let no one stay silent now. Let no opposition party, no activist, no leader stand aside in fear or comfort. This fight is bigger than politics—it is about the soul of our democracy.
We parents they fought hard to win it. We must fight harder to protect it.
We know why MEC is refusing audits—because the rot runs deep.
We know that top officials in mec are not neutral arbiters, but loyal sympathizers of the MCP.
They are not serving the Constitution. They are serving their masters.
Let me warn you When the crocodile smiles at the frog, it is not friendship—it is hunger.”
Do not be deceived by sweet speeches and calm voices. What is happening is an attack on our democratic rights.
If we fold our arms now, we will wake up in a country where elections are mere theatre and leadership is decided long before the first vote is cast.
We refuse to legitimize fraud. We refuse to march into a trap. We refuse to remain silent while our future is stolen.
Let us rise—in unity, in law, and in numbers.
“When the people lead, the leaders will follow.”
This is our moment. Let us flood the courts with demands for justice.
Let us flood the streets with peaceful protest. Let us flood social media, churches, schools, villages, and cities with one message:
No transparency, no elections.
No audit, no vote.
No truth, no peace.
Malawi belongs to us all—not to one man and one party
The struggle has begun. The chains will break. And the truth shall rise.
Aluta continua. Victory is certain.
