Political activist Bon Kalindo has warned opposition party leaders of DPP, UTM, PP, and AFORD that they risk to be arrested for politically motivated charges ahead of the 16th September, 2025 elections claiming that the arrest of Shadric Namalomba and Noel Masangwi is the beginning of all.
Kalindo said to stop this nonsense arrests, there is a great need for the formation of a strong opposition Block forgetting about their presentation of nomination papers and start working as one person in a unity of purpose.
He has asked them to open their eyes that MCP thugs armed with pangas are more powerful and are above Malawi Defense Force (MDF) and Malawi Police Service (MPS) and as such, MCP politicians have the power to order of their arrests at any hour to silence them.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo said unity of purpose by opposition party leaders is the only break -through that the tragic death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, who were killed in the Chikangawa forest will come to light.
Kalindo said there have been conflicting statements about the mysterious death of Dr. Chilima and eight others, the plane’s Black box is being hidden and the site where the plane crashed was cleared, saying all this, will come to a conclusion only with the opposition party leader’s unity.
He said one year has gone with silence from government on the tragic death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, besides millions of questions without answers assuring them that if they let President Chakwera and his MCP to bounce back into government, the matter will be a forgotten history in Malawi.
The activist has reminded opposition party leaders of the Commission of Inquiry instituted by President Chakwera to investigate circumstances surrounding Dr. Chilima’s death, claiming that the results was the same covering up the matter in secret.
He said it is the prayer of each and every one to see to it that justice is served to all those that took their hands in the killing of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others, in the Chikangawa forest and this can be possible through opposition leaders forming a united Block to oust President Chakwera from power.
“Madam Dr. Joyce Banda is a woman who has a motherly love at heart, she is ready to work with you all, DPP and UTM soften your hearts to work together to liberate Malawians from the bondage of MCP slavery,” said Kalindo.
On a sad note, Kalindo has expressed his deep concern over the state of affairs at the grain marketing body-ADMARC that for 3 months, there is no funding, no salaries for employees, and no maize describing this as a very worrisome development and this has happened for the first time in the history of ADMARC in the country.
Kalindo has advised Malawians not to be made to believe that in the ADMARC markets, there are over 19 thousand metric tonnes of maize in stocks as appeared on the government statement claiming that the statement has come from the Janjaweed government.
He said the truth of the matter is that there is nothing to make ADMARC a grain marketing body expressing fears, that Malawians will experience hunger crisis which will be more than that happened in 1949 where some others survived by eating tuber banana roots.
