Salima, Malawi – FDH Bank Plc has contributed K10 million to the Malawi Engineering Institute (MEI) to support its upcoming Engineering Conference scheduled for 28–29 August 2025 in Salima.
According to FDH Public Relations Manager Lorraine Chikhula, the bank’s partnership with MEI is part of its FDH Cares sustainability programme, which supports initiatives that positively impact communities, the environment, and the economy to drive national development in Malawi.

MEI Vice Chairperson of the organising committee, Mirriam Msomba, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that the conference will provide a platform for engineers, policymakers, and industry leaders to address gaps in the sector and promote leadership in engineering.

The two-day event will be held under the theme “Leadership in Engineering: Breaking Barriers and Empowering Change”, aiming to inspire innovation, strengthen technical skills, and foster collaboration across Malawi’s technical industry.
FDH Bank’s continued investment in national events like the Malawi Engineering Institute Conference underscores its commitment to sustainable development and capacity building in Malawi’s key sectors.
