A United Democratic Front (UDF)former Member of Parliament for Machinga, Esther Jolobala, has praised Professor Arthur Peter MUutharika that he is a true statesman claiming that he accepted the 2020 elections results after winning it in May, 2019 for peace.
Jolobala said Professor Mutharika accepted the outcome of the Constitutional Court ruling because he did not war in Malawi beside having all the machinery such as the MDF and Malawi Police Service (MPS) in his hands.
She said after losing the 2020 elections, she packed up his belongs into lorries and pictures were seen Professor Mutharika heading to Mangochi to stay in his uncompleted Page House with some people mocking him for going into that house.
Speaking during a campaign meeting in a quest to her return as a Member of Parliament, Jolobala said God has showed his greatness in Professor Mutharika by keeping his life to this day when those who took over his leadership have failed to deliver.
Jolobala said many people had a belief in 2020 that one having been an ordained Priest and straight from the church, would rule the country in the interest of all but the opposite has been seen, the country has been destroyed, and millions of Malawians are against his leadership.
“Leadership becomes easier when it is to the others, but when it is yourself, is when the challenges are many,” she said.
And in audio clip which is circulating in various media platforms, a concerned citizen has advised the DPP not to take the clashes in Kasungu South of the Minister of Finance Simplex Chithyola Banda as an accident claiming that this is a deliberate ploy to ambush them.
The citizen has claimed that during the fracas, teargas canisters were thrown to disperse the stone throwers meaning that the police that went there for coverage were allegedly alerted of the incident to happen for the MCP to be claiming that unknown people forced their rally to end abruptly at Mkhota in Kasungu district.
He has assured the DPP that the MCP is not sleeping to see Professor Mutharika is alive till this day and their mission is to eliminate his life when there is a chance advising the DPP security team to always be alert that anything can happen in their rallies.
“Make sure that at each and every meeting, security must be tight even surrounding the whole venue of their meetings,” said the source.
