Bakili Muluzi TV online television station has claimed that Malawi court Judges are against the leadership of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika following the Supreme Court of Appeal ruling that found the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) guilty for closing a dead Finance Bank of Malawi 21years ago.
The Malawi Supreme Court of Appeal has ordered the Reserve Bank of Malawi to pay Finance Bank Limited compensations amounting to 9 trillion Malawi Kwacha for the loss of business from 2005 to 2025, the ruling has angered Malawians.
Bakili Muluzi TV said the Finance Bank whose owner was an Asian from India opened the Bank in Malawi in 1995 and the Bank was involved in Money Laundering, taking the country’s forex to overseas countries and it has no Know Your Customer (KYC).
He said former President the late Professor Bingu wa Mutharika after realizing that the Bank was involved in taking the country’s forex to other countries, ordered the closure of the Bank in Malawi in 2005.
The activist said History is the good teacher, in 1918 America was against child labour, banned a company which was employing children but the court dismisses this, ordered the company to continue employing child labour.
He said in 1857 Parliament of America stopped slavery from taking place in their country by giving all the Black people citizenship that they were all Americans, but the court dismisses this, that Black people are Africans hence no need to give them American citizenship.
Bakili Muluzi TV said American civil war was started by court Judges and today, the same situation is happening in Malawi that in 2020 Malawians nearly went into civil war because of the judges when they sanctioned fresh presidential elections without finding DPP guilty for committing the offence.
He said in 1932 unemployment, poverty and hunger reached its climax in America, President Franklin Roosevelt drew a recovery plan to fix the country for prices of goods to go down, but the court dismissed this, declaring the recovery plan illegal.
The activist said President Professor Mutharika has drawn his recovery plan to fix the country’s economy, the Malawi Supreme Court of Appeal has dismissed this, they are demanding K9 trillion from poor Malawians for no food, fertilizer, fuel and forex.
“In the Holy Bible, Gideon started well but corruption destroyed him, his son, Abimereck killed 70 family members because of corruption, Malawi has the Gideon and Abimereck who wants to kill the country because of corruption,” said Bakili Muluzi TV.
Political activist Bon Kalindo said education is killing the country claiming that Malawi Courts are full of highly learned judges but the way they are pronouncing judgement is questionable, delivering justice and corruption.
Kalindo has asked the DPP led government to read and see the Supreme Court of Appeal ruling on the Finance Bank with a critical eye that there is a curtail of three people to share this K9 trillion praying to God to forgive Malawi, it would have been good if Malawi was not created.
“The Finance Bank was rejected in South Africa, Zambia and Tanzania, Malawi has come with a ruling to compensate a money laundering bank with K9 trillion from 2005 to 2025, this is a forgotten case but justice and corruption has paid for this,” he said.
