Malawi Freedom Network Afrexim Bank President Benedict Oramah has pledged to support Malawi with 500,000 US dollars (about K518 million) towards efforts to mitigate Tropical Cyclone Freddy aftermath.
A statement from the State House’s Communication Department indicates that President Lazarus Chakwera had a virtual meeting with Oramah.
The donation will be channelled to the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (Dodma).
Chakwera has since expressed gratitude for the donation from Afrexim Bank.
