The event, which has been organised by the Malawi Investment and Trade Centre, has brought together producers in various fields to bang heads on how to boost exports.
The Malawi Exporters Awards come at a time when Malawi continues to face a huge trade deficit of about $2 billion, with annual imports standing at $3 billion, dwarfing exports at $1 billion.
However, exporters will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the awards as the Gala Dinner for the awards has been pushed to sometime next week.
President Lazarus Chakwera is expected to present the awards at the Gala Dinner.
