Chakwera Has Three Days To Reshuffle His Cabinet

President Lazarus Chakwera has exactly five days remaining to honour his cabinet reshuffle promise.

During his national address on New Year’s Day, Chakwera promised the citizenry that he would announce a new lean cabinet in the month of January.

The Malawi leader hinted that he would appoint only those with the capacity to deliver.

However, Chakwera did not specify as to how many people would make it into the cabinet.

The current cabinet is comprised of 32 members who include the President himself, his vice, ministers and their deputies.

Meanwhile, a governance and political commentator Victor Chipofya feels like the current cabinet has failed to serve Malawians accordingly
