Chizuma’s Judicial Review Case Ruling Reserved To A Later Date

High Court Judge Anabel Mtalimanja has reserved her ruling to a later date on whether to commence proceedings against ACB Director General Martha Chizuma or not.

Chizuma applied for a judicial review after one Frighton Mphompho took her to court to have her investigated in relation to the leaked telephone conversation.

The Mzuzu Senior Resident Magistrate Godfrey Nyirenda had ordered Malawi Police Service and Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to investigate Chizuma a ruling which was later stayed by Judge Kenyatta Nyirenda who granted the judicial review.

And on Monday, the court finished hearing submissions from both parties in the judicial review case thereby reserving the ruling to a later date.

Martha Kaukonde lawyer representing Chizuma said they have filled their final submissions and they are now waiting for the court’s determination.
