Exit Traditional Methods Of Farming – Kawale

Minister of Agriculture Sam Kawale has advised farmers to completely exit traditional ways of farming and adopt innovative methods.

Kawale made the observation in light of climate change and population growth in the country.

He said farmers must switch to systems that will help them yield more from the same piece of land.

The minister was interacting with farmers in Lilongwe during an agricultural field day in the area of Senior Chief Mazengela.

Speaking on behalf of the Senior Chief, Senior Group Village Head Dete said that farmers in the area have benefited a lot from the new agricultural technologies being intensified by the government through partner organisations.
