Malawi Freedom Network Former President Dr Joyce Banda is visiting beneficiaries of the Community Development Initiative (CDI) in Kasungu.
The former President is touring fields under CDI to assess progress made within the first year of the initiative which targets 3,000 beneficiaries whose fields lie on a 12,000-hectare of land.
CDI is the brainchild of President Dr Lazarus Chakwera and Dr Joyce Banda. It seeks to eradicate poverty by building empowered and resilient rural communities across Malawi.
