Mlakho Wa Lhomwe Supports Govt To Save Money Hence Will Not Invite Chakwera

MULHAKO WA ALHOMWE SUPPORTS GOVT AUSTERITY MEASURES

Blessings Makwinja, Southern Region Vice Chairperson for Mulhako Wa Alhomwe has said they will not invite President Chakwera at it’s annual festival scheduled for October 9, at Chonde. The chairperson says this will help the government save a lot of money that Chakwera would have spent to make the trip.

Chakwera spent 80 million to attend Umuntheto in Mzimba, 67million to attend another Ngoni annual event in Ntcheu and 100 million attending Kulamba ceremony in Zambia.

The money that Chakwera will save for being absent can be channeled to the purchase of fuel which is now scarce the grouping says.

Chakwera stands to spend close to 53 million if he attends the October event.
