Mukuru Support Sand Music Festival K9 Million

Money transfer institution Mukuru has supported this year’s Sand Music Festival with 9 Million Kwacha.

The eminent music festival which starts from 30th to 2nd October at Kambiri Beach in Salima continues to earn support from the corporate world at a time when Zambian Yo Maps has been named the first international act.

Speaking after presenting a cheque today, Charles Phiri, Country Manager for Mukuru said the decision follows the company’s interest in promoting the arts industry in Malawi.

In reaction, Wendy Harawa, one of the organisers of the festival could not hold her gratitude and said the support will also go a long way in ensuring that the show earns the massive tag yet again this year.

Harawa has meanwhile said the full list of artists billed to perform will be announced by next week.
