Minister of Information and Digitisation, Gospel Kazako, says the plane Dr Lazarus Chakwera Is supposed to use for the UNGA trip is under inspection by engineers.
Kazako said the engineers have asked for more time to certify the plane hence Dr Chakwera’s delay to leave for the UNGA.
The minister said Dr Chakwera will leave anytime once the inspection works are completed.
The Malawi leader was expected to leave via Kamuzu International Airport today at 3 pm as earlier communicated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
