Bwalo la Chewa Foundation [BOLA-CEFO] says it is deeply saddened with the untimely death of one of its founding member Mr. Kedrone Chisale who until his death was the grouping’s Treasurer General.

The late Kedrone Chisale , a former civil servant who worked in various Ministries, Departments and Agencies [MDAs] was a successful business entrepreneur, the first to decorate the Dowa boma with a Rest house and Conference Room at the popular Jelia Park, a stone throw away to the Dowa District Council offices and Police Station.

Speaking on the sad loss, Bwalo la Chewa Foundation’s National Executive Director Reverend Flywell Somanje described the late Kedrone Chisale as a true identity of the Chewa claiming that he loved the Chewa culture and its tradition everywhere he was going.

Reverend Somanje said the late Mr. Kedrone Chisale was not only the Treasure of the grouping but also an advisor for him to continue fighting for the preservation and aspirations of the Chewas in Malawi from underground up to the time of the grouping’s reaching to a point of being recognized throughout the country.

He said the late Mr. Kedrone Chisale will be remembered by all the Chewas in Malawi as the most dedicated member working tirelessly to see to it that the grouping’s vision of uniting all the Chewas in Malawi is fulfilled.

…..’’We will greatly miss him as our Treasure and advisor and above all, his dedications to Bwalo la Chewa Foundation’s activities,’’….said Reverend Somanje.

During the launch of Bwalo la Chewa Foundation at the Dowa Community Centre ground on Saturday 7th September, 2019 its first Treasurer General a Mr. Chimlozi was kidnapped by unknown people and was found alive a day after kidnapping in Blantyre, the late Mr. Kedrone Chisale took over from him after his term office expired.

His kidnapping is still a subject of discussion amongst the Chewa family of Bwalo la Chewa as no one till this day has claimed responsibility and the motive behind which many members of the grouping described it as a planned attack to frustrate the launch of Bwalo la Chewa Foundation in Dowa district.

Bwalo la Chewa Foundation [BOLA-CEFO] was registered by the Office of the Registrar General as the only voice of the Chewas in Malawi in 2018 while the Chewa Heritage Foundation [CHEFO] is an international organization for the Chewas of Mozambique, Zambia and Malawi.

Meanwhile, the body of the late Mr. Kedrone Chisale will be laid to rest on Thursday at his home Msochi village, west of Kongwe CCAP Mission in the area of Chewa Clan leader Mkanthama under Senior Chief Msakambewa in Dowa district.

May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
