Barcelona have been handed a positive update on Dani Olmo’s fitness after the Spain star picked up an injury on international duty.
Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has admitted Olmo is suffering with a “bad knock” and is a doubt for Sunday’s game against Switzerland.
Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Olmo has undergone further tests on his knee to determine the severity of the problem and it’s been found just to be a strong bruise.
The news will be a relief to Barcelona who have already see Fermin Lopez and Robert Lewandowski pick up knocks so far during the international break.
It remains to be seen if Olmo will play any part in Spain’s next fixture, but it would seem reckless to risk him if he is struggling.
Barcelona will be hoping he can return safely and be available for their next game against Girona in a week’s time in La Liga
