US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken Visits Kyiv, Reaffirms Support for Ukraine

In a show of solidarity with Ukraine, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, and declared that NATO and the United States remain fully committed to Ukraine’s victory in its ongoing conflict with Russia.

During a live broadcast on various media channels, including Al Jazeera, Blinken conveyed a clear message to Russian President Vladimir Putin: “Our collective message to Putin is clear – our support for Ukraine will not waver.”

Blinken announced significant financial aid packages to support Ukraine, including $325 million in energy assistance and $290 million in humanitarian support.

This funding aims to address the country’s critical energy needs and provide essential humanitarian aid to those affected by the conflict.

The US Secretary of State’s visit to Kyiv underscores the unwavering commitment of the United States and NATO to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
