The MCP agents, masquerading as religious clerks, targeted Bishop Msusa during a press briefing on Thursday, where he expressed his concerns over the commission of enquiry’s report on the plane crash that killed Saulos Chilima and eight others.
Bishop Msusa, known for his unwavering commitment to speaking truth to power, described the report as “incomprehensive and unsatisfactory,” sparking a backlash from the MCP. However, the DPP women, led by National Director of Women Mary Thom Navicha, have come out in full support of the bishop, condemning the MCP’s intimidation tactics.
“We will stand with Bishop Msusa, no matter what,” declared Mary Thom Navicha, speaking on behalf of her fellow DPP women legislators. “We will not let the MCP silence him or intimidate him into submission.
