By Hon. Allan Ngumuya
Good morning, my fellow Malawians.
I write this letter with a deep sense of concern and urgency.
I have witnessed the increasing spread of falsehoods aimed at tarnishing the reputation of Dr. Dalitso Kabambe (DK).
It is important that we set the record straight.
We must expose those who are resorting to cheap political propaganda.
There are individuals who are falsely claiming that DK is behind the Age Bill.
This is a complete lie.
Those who are making these allegations know very well that the Age Bill has been in existence since the time of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
This was long before DK was even a factor in national politics.
Unfortunately, certain individuals and platforms such as Nkhanga Zaona and Bakili Muluzi TV are being used by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to destroy DK’s name.
These individuals are not interested in the truth.
They are merely being used as political pawns to spread lies and confuse Malawians.
Let me make this clear: I have evidence that the Age Bill issue is an MCP initiative.
There is an audio recording by Ken Msonda, a well-known political figure, in which he explicitly states that the bill was introduced by MCP.
He even said that he would go to court on behalf of MCP.
Why is MCP now trying to distance itself from this bill?
Why are they allowing their political opponents to twist the narrative and blame DK?
The answer is simple: They are feeling the pressure.
DK has become a major political force.
His opponents know they cannot defeat him on policy and vision.
That is why they have resorted to dirty politics and misinformation.
Of all the candidates from all political parties, DK is the only one presenting real and practical solutions to the economic crisis in Malawi.
He has laid out a clear strategy for economic recovery.
He has detailed how he will stabilize prices and improve the lives of Malawians.
No other candidate is doing this.
I cannot wait for the day when DK and all other presidential candidates will face each other in a public debate on national television.
When that day comes, mark my words, DK will be there, ready to present his vision for Malawi.
But I am certain that the other candidates will not show up.
They will avoid the debate because they have no concrete plans to offer Malawians.
It is time for Malawians to reject politics of lies and deception.
We need to focus on leaders who have real solutions to our nation’s problems.
DK is the only candidate who is bringing tangible ideas to the table.
No amount of propaganda will change that fact.
I urge Malawians to remain vigilant.
Do not be swayed by baseless accusations.
The truth will always prevail.
Those who spread lies will eventually be exposed.
This is my final warning to all those who are deliberately tarnishing DK’s name.
Stop the lies and focus on real issues.
Malawians deserve better than this dirty politics.
