Jumbe sends warning with solemn hearts to Chakwera

By Vincent Gunde

A Malawian citizen, Comrade Alhaji Imraan Jumbe, has sent a warning with solemn hearts to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and the MCP to let Malawi remain a land of peace but also, a land of justice saying Malawians want peace, but not at the cost of being cheated, they want unity, but not at the cost.

Imran Jumbe

Comrade Jumbe has called upon President Chakwera and the MCP to face the light of truth, justice and democracy advising him that power like fire, is a dangerous servant and a fearful master reminding him that once he stood in the cold demanding warmth from the flames of justice, now that he is sitting near the hearth.

He has advised President Chakwera and the MCP not to throw water on who now seek the same fire of fairness but to remember, the road he is walking on today was cleared by others who walked before him saying MCP is in power because its predecessors allowed the rule of law to speak –not guns, not rigging, not manipulation.

Writing on his face book page, Comrade Jumbe has asked President Chakwera not to poison the same well from which he drank in 2020 observing that there are clearly signs deeply worrying signs, that the Mec is being subtly manipulated.

Jumbe says Mec independence has been weakened, its soul bought by silence, the people are watching warning President Chakwera and his MCP that the citizens of the land will not bow to oppression wearing a democratic mask.

He has demanded for a fresh voter registration exercise saying democracy without integrity is an insult to the ballot, thorough audit of the voters’ roll saying a flawed register is the first seed of stolen elections and the disposal of Smartmatic machines whose very presence is raising an alarm and doubt among voters.

“We demand reasonable extension of the electoral process, to allow every Malawian to participate fully in shaping this nation’s future,’ reads Comrade Jumbe’s writings on the wall.

He says President Chakwera once danced to the rhythm of change, now the rhythm is justice once again with a warning that if the MCP does not allow Mec to meet the demands of the people, Malawians will seek justice in the court,

Jumbe has assured President Chakwera and his MCP that Malawians will not hesitate to pursue injunctions, legal remedies, and constitutional actions to defend what belongs to the people.
